Distillery Design

Every distillery is now a visitor centre, representing the brand.

Whisky trades on the beauty of the place in which it is made. Luckily our work takes us to some great locations, and we make the most of any structures which already exist in a place… the character which comes with age cannot be faked. Buildings and openings are placed to link the copper to the best views.

As well as being beautiful our distillery designs are efficient, because these are machines for making whisky in. They are easily serviced in the short term - it is easy to bring in raw materials and take away co-products. Drains and vents are well placed. And in the long term doorways or windows are added to allow the replacement of still parts without taking roofs off.

The buildings are integrated with branded environments so they truly represent the product which is made there.
